Can I get my eyelash extensions wet?

Yes, you can get your eyelash extensions wet. After the recommended 4-6 hour waiting period, you can get your eyelash extensions wet without any repercussions. We actually recommend washing your eyelash extensions every day to maintain proper eye health and good retention.

How often should I brush my eyelash extensions?

You should brush your eyelash extensions daily. Eyelash extensions should be brushed in the morning to neaten them up after sleeping, throughout the day if needed, and also after washing.

How often should I wash my eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions should be washed daily. Even if you do not wear makeup on a daily basis, your eyelash extensions still collect allergens, sebum and bacteria. If you are a makeup wearer, you should be washing your lash extensions twice a day. The cleaner you keep your lashes, the longer they will last and the healthier your lashes and eyes will be.

How do I wash my face with eyelash extensions?

You can wash your face with eyelash extensions by using extension safe products. Avoid using products that are oil based and opt for an extension specific lash cleanser. This cleanser comes in your after care kit if you are a new client to dhesthetics, or is available for purchase in the studio.

Can I wear makeup with eyelash extensions?

Makeup can be worn with eyelash extensions, but there are some things to take into consideration. Mascara should NOT be worn with eyelash extensions, as well as avoiding products that are oil based. When wearing makeup, eyelash extensions should never have products directly applied to them or the lash line, and all makeup should be thoroughly removed at the end of the day.

Other things to avoid:

  • Avoiding picking and pulling at your lash extensions

  • Make sure to follow aftercare instructions thoroughly. Lash retention is 20% application by the artist and 80% how you’re taking care of them afterwards

  • Avoid any products with oil around the eyes

  • Book your fills accordingly and as far in advance as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts

  • If you’re using a growth serum with lash extensions, consider booking your fills closer together as your lashes will grow faster
